our friends, brad and georgie and their little girl, molly, were in the states recently for an extended visit from ireland. we were able to spend some great time with them while they were here.

Our family just returned from a week long visit to Port Huron, MI to visit Jason's family. We always have a great time spending some extended time with Jason's parents, brother, and grandparents, who all live in the same town where Jason grew up.

One thing we love to do when we're there is enjoy beautiful Lake Huron. Port Huron is located right on the lake (hence the name) and Jason's parents actually live right across the street from it as well. The bridge in the background of this photo connects Port Huron to Canada.

This was the first year the Sophi was old enough to really enjoy being with her cousins . Jason's oldest brother, Mark, has three kids and Sophi just LOVED her time with them.

jason's younger brother, seth, and his girlfriend, erin, came for a short visit at the end of june. they are living in western michigan right now, but are planning to move to chicago this year. we're looking forward to having them so close.

my sister-in-law and i decided the other day to pick strawberries . . .with our 4 children (sophi-2, liam-2, jack-1, lucy 2 mos.). somehow, we managed to pick enough berries to make jam later that day. great memories . . .
