not to worry...

In the summer of '99, Barry Sanders unexpectedly announced his retirement from the Detroit Lions. It was a dark time for Michigan and all football fans. Yesterday, news broke of Brett Favre's retirement. After 17 years in the NFL - Favre is done.

Let me just say Wisconsinites... although things seems dark today, the Packers will be just fine. Just look at how Detroit has risen to the challenge since Barry's departure. So, chin up. If Rogers doesn't work out, I think Andre Ware is available.

May you and all your precious Detroit teams feel the wrath of the sports gods in return for this post.

May the Red Wings' season go down in flames!

speaking of the wings... detroit's steve yzerman played 20 years (86 - 06) the state didn't stop when he stepped away from hockey w/ three stanley cups

and i would venture to say an 82 game season takes as much if not more out of a guy than 16... but that's only my humble opinion

Funny that you found a picture of Barry Sanders gaining yardage against the Packers. I seem to remember a game where he carried the ball 13 times and failed to do that.
